GM / General Motors Ignition Recall

General Motors recently recalled millions of its vehicles due to a dangerous ignition defect, which can cause the key to fall out of the ignition or to be bumped out of the run position. These defects are dangerous and can cause an injury crash because the affected car may lose electrical power, which results in loss of braking, loss of steering, and loss of safety device functions, such as airbags. Airbags may not deploy in the event of a crash when the car loses power due to an ignition defect.

These defects can injure or kill the driver and/or occupants of the recalled GM vehicle as well as other drivers or pedestrians who are nearby when a General Motors defect causes a crash.
